Inside Abanca-Riazor Stadium, External Reference has redesigned the Official Store of RC Deportivo de La Coruña around the figure of the Onda Branca, the name given to the club’s supporters. The 250 sqm space is organised by a continuous wave running its full length: a sculptural centrepiece built from more than 130 modules of recycled PETG, robotically 3D printed by LaMáquina in the club’s blue and white. Modular furniture, developed with HMY, adapts the layout to matchday activations throughout the season. Interior surfaces are finished in PureTech, a coating that captures and breaks down airborne pollutants, while a computer vision system by Noumena reads visitor flow in real time, anonymously, to continuously refine the space. Opening in 2026 to mark the club’s 120th anniversary, Deportienda turns retail into a built expression of the Atlantic and the crowd that faces it.
